How is your week end going, everyone? I spent my Saturday at work and so I will tomorrow, woot woot! Last week, though, I was in a magical place – with Owen and some friends we chartered a catamaran and we’ve been to the Whitsunday Islands. There was a bit of wind and the ocean wasn’t what I’d call calm, but we managed to go and see everything we wanted to, which was awesome!
We’ve been in this town for about three years and it was about time we went and visit this beautiful piece of the Great Barrier Reef. No wonders, it’s one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. Of course, I fell in love with the beauty of Whitehaven Beach – crystal clear water and a 7km stretch of nearly pure white sand. The Hill inlet north of Whitehaven isn’t too bad either and the view from the lookout is truly breathtaking.
Here a few photos of both theses places and I’m proud to say I made my cherry swimsuit and my leggings too! But please don’t pay too much attention to my denim shirt, it’s very old and doesn’t fit anymore ;)
We saw heaps of fishes – Dolphins, a gigantic grouper, bat fishes, dugongs and we also friended a super cute turtle, nicknamed Josie, which hung around our boat while we were anchored in Stonehaven Bay, another beautiful spot, just in front of the posh Hayman Island. Sweet, uh?
